Bd consulting MB (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the HowPure mobile application (the “App”) and the website howpure.app (the “Website”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App and Website (collectively, the “Service”).
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
a) Information You Provide
- Profile Information: Skin type, allergies, sensitivities, and health goals you configure within the App to receive personalized ingredient analysis.
- Account Information: If you create an account, we may collect your email address and display name.
- Support Communications: If you contact us for support, we collect your name, email, and message content.
b) Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Features used, screens viewed, products scanned, search queries, and interactions within the App.
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and app version.
- Camera Data: When you scan a barcode, the App accesses your device camera. Images are processed locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.
- Location Data: With your permission, we may collect approximate location data to show you nearby stores where recommended products are available. Location data is only collected when the App is in use and you have granted permission.
- Analytics Data: We use Amplitude to collect anonymized usage analytics to improve the Service. This may include session duration, feature usage patterns, and crash reports.
c) Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect payment or financial information.
- We do not collect precise GPS location without your explicit consent.
- We do not store photos or camera images — barcode scanning is processed entirely on your device.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide personalized ingredient safety analysis based on your biological profile.
- Show you healthier product alternatives available at nearby stores and online retailers.
- Improve, maintain, and optimize the Service through aggregated analytics.
- Respond to your inquiries, requests, and customer support needs.
- Send you important notices about changes to the Service or this policy.
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues and security threats.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may share information in the following circumstances:

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Profile data is retained while you have an active account. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Anonymized and aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely for analytical purposes.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest. While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data. You can delete your account and associated data directly within the App under Settings > Account > Delete Account.

- Location Permission: You can revoke location access at any time through your device settings.
- Camera Permission: You can revoke camera access at any time through your device settings.

8. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information as quickly as possible.
